On November 25, 2011, Omar Bakri Mohammed issued a message titled, “Call to the Sunni People in Lebanon.” He stated, “I call upon the Shaykhs and scholars and advocates and students from the Sunni people: come let us stand in one rank, at least on the Syrian affair, in order to support our people in Syria. And undoubtedly the fall of the Syrian regime will be the beginning of the end to the Israeli barbarity, and the beginning of the unity of the Islamic Ummah, Allah the Almighty-willing.”
