On May 14, 2010, Al‐Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released an audio taped message, “Who Are the Mujahideen in the Arabian Peninsula.” In the message, AQAP urged its followers to support the mujahideen in a variety of ways, to include: “Not speaking about the [whereabouts of] the mujahideen and hiding their secrets that which the enemy may benefit from”; “Collecting donations for the mujahideen and paying Zakat for them”; “Refusing to assist these governments in any way, like taxes and Zakat [to government], and refusing to support the cooperative governments that are unjust toward the mujahideen”; “Raising the children to love jihad and its people”; “Following the news of Jihad and participating in publishing what gets produced by them”; and “Boycotting the American and Jewish products and encouraging people to do so.”
