On March 18, 2010, Al‐Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) released “News Report 25”
summarizing an array of recent “victories over the apostate children of France”, which
include the “death and injury of more than 112 apostates, including 7 officers.” For
example, in one operation, the “mujahideen detonated a bomb against a group of
apostates in the al‐Marj region in ‘Ein as‐Sapt’ municipality in Sateef province. They
killed two…from the civil guards and during the efforts to aid the wounded, the bombs of
the mujahideen were waiting, as one guard died and another was injured.” In another
operation, AQIM claimed to have “looted a sum of money from the treasury of the
apostates totaling 255 million Santim.”
