Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has released the 12th issue of its magazine, Sada al-Malahem, which includes an article titled "Secrets of the Developed Device". The article discusses "the bomb of the intended-martyr hero Omar al-Farooq", who targetedNorthwest Airlines Flight 253 on Christmas Day, and reveals that AQAP has closely studied airline security: "it is clear that every machine has a weakness point that can be undermined." AQAP also claims that "the mujahideen have acquired a highly-explosive material with power that exceeds the classic high explosives like 'PETN' and 'TNT' and 'RDX' and others, and it is being prepared and tested."

Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has issued a new communique -- the first since acknowledging its role in the failed airline bomb plot executed by Nigerian national Umar Abdulmutallab. In its statement, AQAP strongly denied "false claims... that [the Yemeni government] has killed six of us in the provinces of al-Jawf and Saa’da in the al-Ashajer region, and we assure our Muslim Nation that none of the mujahideen were [actually] killed in that insidious unjust attack, but some of the brothers suffer from some minor wounds." The AQAP accused the Yemeni government of seeking to claim a false victory against Al-Qaida "as an offering to Obama and Brown and their allies in the London summit." The group further threatened, "today, the duty of our Muslim nation is to declare Jihad against the infidels and their apostate puppets; not only on land but on sea and in the air too”

“The heroic mujahid, martyrdom-seeking brother Omar al-Farooq waged a unique operation on-board of an American aircraft that took off from the Dutch city of Amsterdam, heading towards the American city of Detroit, during their [Christians] celebration of the Christmas holidays on Friday December 25th, 2009, by which he infiltrated all the advanced, new machines and technologies and the security boundaries in the world’s airports. Heroically and straightforwardly, fearless of death, dependent on Allah, by his great act he broke the American and international intelligence legend, and he showed their fragility and rubbed their noses in the mud, and he made all of what they spent on security development techniques a [new] heartbreak for them.”
“Unification in doctrine and Islamic brotherhood are the reasons that pushed this wealthy young man, from Nigerian origins—the mujahiden brother Omar al-Farooq...

“Praise Allah who endears Islam with His victory and oppresses polytheism with His might and manages the matters with His commands and deceives the disbelievers with His deception; He who assigned the days with His justice and made the afterlife for the pious with His grace, and prayer and peace upon he whose sword Allah raised the rank of Islam…and thereafter:”
“Five American destroyers waged a monstrous raid against the innocent Muslims in Bakazem tribes, in al-Mu’ajjila village, al-Mahgad region in Abin province, after the Dawn Prayer on Thursday 12/24, and as a result of this monstrous raid over Bakazem village almost 50 women, children and men were killed, and it came at the same time with a military campaign against Arhab tribes, using the excuse of counterterrorism (Islam), and destruction of the mujahideen vanguards from amongst the proud tribes of Yemen.”
