The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) released a statement claiming credit for the killing of fifteen Pakistani Frontier Corps soldiers, in retaliation for the Pakistani government laying “a siege on innocent mujahideen brothers and TTP workers” “in the Kyber agency” and “ kidnapping two of their women and 5 infants.” Labeling their actions “the first chain of retribution for our bothers”, the TTP stated, “Stay tuned for more to come.” The communication further promised that “In a few days, a videotape of the death of these cursed…and a lesson for infidels and hypocrites, will be released.” Flashpoint has provided an original copy of the Urdu-language communication as well.
