Flashpoint Global Partners has released a transcript of an exclusive interview with Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Azam Tariq. In the interview, Tariq argued that President Barack Obama’s visit to Mumbai, “where Pakistani Mujahideen are accused of having carried out attacks”, is “clear proof of U.S. enmity for Pakistan…” Promising that “every inch of the soil under Taliban control will have Islamic rule”, Tariq highlighted recent lashings in Orakzai agency, where “60 people were awarded Islamic punishment”. Tariq claimed that “all those who were punished resolved not to repeat their mistake again. They are not unhappy about it. They literally came to thank TTP's men in Orakzai agency.” Tariq revealed that “six groups of the Wanna have joined TTP and expressed their confidence in the leadership of Hakimullah Mehsud.” He also claimed that Qari Hussein Mehsud, the high-ranking TTP leader in charge of the organization's training infrastructure and suicide bombing operations, “is alive” and that news of his death “is false propaganda.”
