Flashpoint Partners has released an exclusive interview with Jamaat‐ud‐Dawa spokesman Yahya Mujahid. In the interview, Mujahid pointed out that “several judges of the higher judiciary heard arguments in our cases and it has been made clear through the court decisions that [Lashkar‐e‐Taiba leaders] Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and Zaki Ur Rehman Lakhvi have nothing to do with the Mumbai attacks.” He also asserted that cases against Zaki Ur Rehman Lakhvi “are based on political pressure” and “don’t have any substance in them.” Asked about terrorist attacks in Pakistan, he alleged that “any attack in Pakistan that targets innocent people is planned and executed by foreign agencies, such as RAW and others. [The] Taliban are good people...In several instances, the Department of Interior has clear proof of involvement of RAW, Mossad and the CIA.” And, addressing the state of financial collection efforts, Mujahid noted that “We are yet to put things in order” but added that “Once we start our activities, people trust us and donations will not be a problem.”
