Islamic State of Iraq Message “to the Muslims in Beloved Egypt”

On February 9, 2011, Al-Qaida’s Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) published a new open statement appealing "to the Muslims in beloved Egypt”. The ISI urged protesters in Egypt to wage violent jihad against the Mubarak regime and avoid "malicious secularism" and "infidel democracy." The statement noted that freeing “The Muslim prisoners in the prisons of the oppressors” “is one of” their “highest duties” and urged them not to “settle until” they “finish rescuing them from there, then turn them [prisons]—seeking Allah’s help—to destruction…”
