A group calling itself the "Islamic Emirate of Al-Hind" has issued a "call to rescue mujahid [Mohammed Ajmal Amir] Kasab", the sole surviving perpetrator of the 2008 Mumbai hotel massacre that left 166 people dead and 234 injured. Kasab was sentenced to death in May 2010. The group argues that “it is an obligation upon the Muslims to try their utmost to rescue the Mujahid who is captured by the Kuffar. By the permission of Allah, this can be easy. We have seen the Hindu dogs free our prisoners before. The prime example being the operation to rescue [Jaish-e-Mohammed founder] Mawlana Mas'ood Azhar. Inshallah, something like this or something similar can be used again to rescue Mujahid Kasab.”
