On October 23, 2010, a user posted a message on a prominent jihadist forum seeking assistance in collecting “all the documents that were published on WikiLeaks…” On October 26, 2010, U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary William J. Lynn noted that "There are groups out there that have said they are indeed mining this data to turn around and use against us.” WikiLeaks has released approximately 77,000 secret Afghanistan-related documents and 400,000 secret Iraq-related military documents.
